Papaya Halwa




Here s what you need:
1 medium ripe papaya chopped
1/2 cup cashews
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg powder (optional)
1 and 1/2 cup sugar or to taste
1 tbsp unsalted butter
3/4 cup milk

Procedure:
Heat butter in a pan, fry cashews till they are light brown in color. To this, add chopped papaya cubes and cook for few mins. Then add milk and let the mixture cook until papaya turns soft and is easily mashable with the spoon.Add sugar and cook for a while. Once the halwa gets oily texture, add cardamon powder and nutmeg powder and mix well.
