Gojju Avalakki (Sweetened Thick flattened rice)



Ingredients:
2 cups Avalakki (Thick flattened rice
1 tsp udid dal
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 cup peanuts
1 medium size stuffed dried chili (menthe mensinkaay) broken into two parts
3-4 curry leaves
2 tsp powdered jaggery
2 tsp tamarind paste
fresh or frozen grated coconut
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
salt

Preparation:
1. Keep avalakki soaked in water for 10 mins.
2. Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds, udid Dal, peanuts, stuffed chili and curry leaves
3. Add tamarind paste and jaggery to it .
4. When it boils, add avalakki and grated coconut and mix well.Garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot.

This is a sweet dish I haven't tried but I know I'd love just by seeing it :)
