Basic Chunky Salsa

  • Ingredients:
  1. 2 Jalapeño (finely chopped)
  2. 6 Tomatoes (medium fresh, chopped into 1/4-inch chunks)
  3. 1 onion (medium, chopped)
  4. 3 green onions (sliced thin with green tops included)
  5. 1/8 cup cilantro (loosely packed, fresh, finely chopped)
  6. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 
  8. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  9. 8 ounces tomato sauce
  10. 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  11. Salt (to taste)
  12. Pepper ​(to taste)

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Check salt and pepper and place in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can be stored in the refrigerator up to a week.
