Basic Chunky Salsa
- 2 Jalapeño (finely chopped)
- 6 Tomatoes (medium fresh, chopped into 1/4-inch chunks)
- 1 onion (medium, chopped)
- 3 green onions (sliced thin with green tops included)
- 1/8 cup cilantro (loosely packed, fresh, finely chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Check salt and pepper and place in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can be stored in the refrigerator up to a week.
